HotGriz's Personal Masseur Interview
Last Updated: May 27, 2020

1
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?

- I think their are certainly people who are far better trained than I. One of the reasons I am affordable and individual. I may not be for everyone but I am for some and the some I am for I truly feel honored to be with. While you are renting me, my focus is all about him and his needs.

2
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?

- Every man is different. Every massage is one of it's own creation. This man has rented me to bring him what he is wanting. In every situation I spend time with the man to center ourselves and connect. Based on his sturdiness my therapy begins.

3
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?

- I expect them to feel physically and emotionally satisfied. I would like them to stay outside of the tension zone and allow themselves time to take it all in. Avoid loud areas or things that will raise their blood pressure. this is their time and you have rented me to bring that feeling to you.

4
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?

- Most of my work are outcalls where I bring my table to you. My home is really not set up well to recieve people although I can make an exception.

5
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?

- I have really only been doing this work in this manner for the last year. Although, I have given massage to patients and friends for much of my adult life.

6
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?

- Ansel Adams once talked about doing work from within and from without. There were times in his life he did do work to bring home the bacon but for the most part everything you will ever see of Ansel Adams was done from within.
I feel the same for what I do. Sometimes there are people who really need my help but just do not have the money I normally like to charge. Much of the reason I have a sliding scale for most folks and my rates are suggestions on what I would like to receive.

7
Why did you become a Masseur?

- It feels like a natural progression in my career. As I have become mature in age I have a need to be useful and care for others.

8
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?

- I work out regularly and have always enjoyed a certain amount of bodybuilding. I also enjoy mountain biking. Reading is a regular part of my day.

9
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?

- Relaxed. His blood will be flowing and his muscles should feel like jello. After the therapy is completed, I hope he will drink plenty of water fuel his body and allow himself to take it all in. He will be on his path to self care and well being.

10
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?

- I was a sailor in the Navy for many years. I have always been around men and the male physic. Having spent time abroad ships and deployments that include hard labor, I know how it feels to have a man massage my aches and release my tension. Having earned a Bachelor of Science Degree I have full knowledge of the male anatomy and how it functions. I know where the muscles originate and end. Physiologically I know how they will respond to pressure points and tenderness.
Much of what I learned as a sailor came from massage parlors around the piers of mostly Asian countries. Much of what I do I learned in places like Thailand, Phillapeans, Japan and Hawaii.

11
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?

- I have always considered myself in the healing profession. Wherever I have the calling it is my first duty to help the man I am with toward recovery, what ever that recovery is. Tired achey muscles, relaxation and rejuvination, empathy and caring.

12
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?

- It is an honor to be able to have a man relax in my care and allow himself to enjoy what is happening. I work to connect with the man and just like a coach would do, exmaine every part of his body and work out any tension areas. Eye contact in always important and one way I am able to see how he is responding to the therapy I am delivering.

13
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!

- I first started giving massages to patients in care facilities back in the day when they actually taught massage in nursing school. I learned that if I could give the patient a little something to help him relax and feel at ease, he would sleep a lot better and feel better. It was also a chance for me to assess his skin and check for any rough spots or areas for concern and do my best to promote healing. Even today I always look for troubled spots in those who call for me and sure to moisten the skin and do what I can to promote healthy skin.
