INDIAN_GUY's Personal Masseur Interview
Last Updated: Feb 21, 21:48

1
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?

- I was always told it was about 4 years, but I have met many who have been in the field ten years or more.
Personally I am going on 6 years myself and I am at that point where I am asking myself where do I take this long term.
I have noticed that successful people in this industry go on to either write books on the subject, teach massage, or create their own methodology and do training courses. Some also go on to run their own massage establishments or franchises.

I hope that answer helps a bit

2
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?

- Take an introductory course first before signing up for a long term program. I’ve met so a few people that love the idea of massaging and then during their first course, they realize that they’re uncomfortable with nudity (even partial nudity),
Don’t overwork yourself. Seriously, it’s not worth it. Always listen to your body. If it’s uncomfortable, it means you need to either check your form, strengthen your body, rest more, or you should avoid such manoeuvre. This is especially important if you’d like massage to be a more long term career for you.

3
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?

- Becoming a massage therapist is not an easy feat. It takes time, patience, and dedication to become qualified for to become a massage therapist
Massage therapists are trained in many different ways, but there are some universal steps that you must take if you want to become one of these professionals in the near future.
While massage therapy is a little more hands-on than some careers, there are still some qualifications you need to become a massage therapist.

4
Why did you become a Masseur?

- Being able to help people improve physically and mentally can provide rewarding experiences for massage therapists who are empathetic and enjoy forming strong relationships with other people or solving their problems. This can help increase their career satisfaction, which may improve their overall quality of life I truely believe that

5
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?

- I specialize in therapeutic massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, and trigger point therapy. My passion for helping others achieve optimal wellness and keen understanding of the human body make me an expert therapist.

6
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?

- The answer for this question depends from person to person. But I would narrate you some example of hobbies which I closely indulge into for making best use of my time.

These hobbies are:

Helping people close to me choose their career path. (I am presumably good at it by analyzing the habits and aspirations of people)
Reading books on productive life, romantic genre, thrillers, psychological novels, and psychology books, and memoirs. All these genres are pretty interesting for me.
Cycling, dancing, stretching, and meditation for controlling the breathing and blood circulation in the body.
Writing novel, poetry, stories, blog, and quotes. It takes out the creative person in me which I appreciate a lot. Because of writing continuously for years, this is where I am, being a professional blogger, digital marketer, and content writer.

7
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?

- traveler! I love traveling and find it stimulating to be in different places and doing different things. Usually I come back and still wish I were on the trip...

8
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?

- Yes of course.! I will miss my Masseur days there is no doubt,

9
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!

- In 2017 I was accepted into both the nursing program and the massage therapy program. I had gotten a massage at Serenity one stressful day and I felt like a new person after the massage. I felt much more relaxed, much less depressed and I thought to myself, “I could do this.” So I chose to enroll in the massage therapy program and the Institute of Therapeutic Massage and Wellness which would be over in only 8 short months.
My first client’s name was Greg, it’s was outcall at his home, he was so nice to me, I liked him right away,
Overall I enjoy the freedom that massage allows me. I am able to share my abilities with others and help them feel less stressed and decrease their pain and anxiety. It’s the best of both worlds. A relaxed environment for both me and the clients.
