Iridium's Personal Masseur Interview
Last Updated: Aug 14, 2019

1
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!

- A close friend of mine whose a Masseur and needed someone to do a four hand massage with, and with the approval of his client it began. So it was set up for the next session with them. I was so nervous that it showed, however that quickly disappated bc of the client and my friend being so wonderful, and said I was a natural and that was the beginning, I was hooked.

2
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?

- ADHD. Why because it explains so much. Look something shiny, what Squirrel where. Meaning the shiny object I saw distracted me then I saw a squirrel that I followed and who knows where I ended up.

3
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?

- No, as long as he is smart, heeds directions, and does what the client asks. Training should be constant though, and some sort of learning should never stop. My MBA didn’t cover some of the things that I encounter, some is just getting out there and doing it.

4
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?

- Refreshed, Renewed and Ready to take on the day with whatever comes their way.

5
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?

- Travel often but enjoy time at home equally, I tend to live and work on my historic home frequently, however my studio is in a private side of my home and has full Ammenties a client would need. I do enjoy working from a private room at the Warwick Hotel frequently which is walking distance from my home and even built in the same era. Otherwise if I am in your city I’m probably staying in a historic property.

6
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?

- Like they never want it to end. Otherwise Refreshed, Restored and ready to take on the World again. Lastly I want every client to leave with a smile, every massage is different but even after two years I’ve never had an unhappy client nor do I expect to. I tend not to push very hard but am working on increasing my pressure a little. My focus is not just the body however it’s too restore ones energy.

7
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?

- I don’t know them but I am told I am very passionate without losing my masculinity.
My love language is touch and I receive sometimes as much as they do, I have plenty of good energy to give out.

8
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?

- Not yet but very close now.

9
Why did you become a Masseur?

- Because to me people out there think a good massage should hurt, yes a certain amount of pressure on occasion is needed. I believe it’s more about our energy and the connections with our clients that help restore ones body and energy.

10
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?

- Drive, Ride Mtn bikes, travel. Speak new languages (Attempt) Checking out old hotels or an old building to buy and restore. Love checking out building or homes built around 1900.

11
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?

- listen, listen and listen to the client.

12
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?

- 2 years or so and I’ll probably continue for the rest of my life, I love helping people especially when it’s through touch.

13
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?

- Yes and no, some clients need a lot and some give a lot while receiving equally. I would miss them all however.
