Deep tissue massage basics
Hi, I’m Jack,
In this blog post, I’ll share some of the benefits of deep tissue massage, what to expect during a session, and how I developed my technique to deliver the best results.
Deep tissue massage is a type of massage that targets the deep layers of muscle and connective tissue. It can help relieve muscle pain and stiffness, improve circulation, reduce inflammation, promote healing, and ease stress. It can also help with various health conditions, such as high blood pressure, fibromyalgia, chronic back pain, and sports injuries12.
During a deep tissue massage session, I’ll ask you about your problem areas and your preferred pressure level. I’ll start by warming up your muscles with some light strokes, then gradually increase the intensity and depth of the massage. I’ll use my fingers, thumbs, knuckles, elbows, and forearms to apply firm pressure and slow strokes to your muscles and tissues. I’ll focus on the areas that need more attention, such as your neck, shoulders, back, legs, or feet.
You may feel some discomfort or pain during the massage, primarily when I work on
Brian And Stewie's Misadventures Pt 3
Stewie: Excellent choice, Brian! You'll thank me later. But remember, no funny business – just indulge in the luxurious hands of pure relaxation!
Brian: Agreed. Now, can we finally talk about something intellectual, like quantum physics or the meaning of life?
Stewie: (rolls eyes) Oh, fine. But remember, Brian, a well-rounded intellect must also appreciate the finer things in life – like massages and a good-looking masseur!
Brian And Stewie's Misadventures pt 2
Brian: Sports massage, huh? That's just an excuse to ogle at athletes' physiques!
Stewie: Well, you can't blame me, Brian. Muscles are like a beautiful work of art – and I'm an art enthusiast!
Brian: (laughs) Of course you are! But let's talk about Jack Vermieten, that Atlanta masseur you mentioned earlier. Is he as good as you claim?
Stewie: Oh, Brian, he's not just good – he's extraordinary! He's got these enchanting hands that can turn knots into dust with a flick. It's like he's on a divine mission to make you melt like butter on a hot summer day!
Brian: (raises an eyebrow) Wow, quite the endorsement, Stewie! But I have to wonder, are you really just interested in his "massaging skills"?
Stewie: (grins mischievously) Well, a massage from Jack is like a dream come true – a dream where I'm floating on clouds made of pure delight. And if a man's chiseled jaw and well-defined arms are part of that dream, so be it!
Brian: (laughs) You never change, Stewie. Alright, I can't deny that a great massage can be a real treat. I'll give Jack Vermieten a chance.
Stewie: Excellent choice, Brian! You'll thank me later. But remember, no funny business – just indulge in the luxurious hand
Brian and Stewie's Misadventures in Manly Massage
Outise shot of the Griffin house. Night- but lights on.
Brian: Alright, Stewie, I can't believe we're talking about massages again. Can't we discuss something more intellectual for once?
Stewie: No, Brian, stop! There's nothing more stimulating than discussing the intricate art of massages between men. You see, a good massage is like a fine Bordeaux – full-bodied and leaves you feeling a little tipsy!
Brian: (rolls eyes) Right, Stewie. So, what types of massages are we talking about today?
Stewie: Well, Brian, there's the classic Swedish massage – gentle strokes and kneading. But who needs that when we can have something more exciting? wink
Brian: (sighs) Please don't tell me you're going to bring up the"deep tissue" massage again.
Stewie: Oh, but I must! It's all about those strong, manly hands digging into your muscles, releasing all the tension. Mmm, delightful.
Brian: (awkwardly) Uh, yeah. Moving on! How about the aromatherapy massage?
Stewie: (snickers) Aromatherapy? Please, I'd rather be surrounded by the scent of a freshly printed Time magazine. Now, a true massage connoisseur appreciates a good sports massage!
