JamieW's Personal Masseur Interview

- I love to travel. I’ve visited almost every country in Europe, plus extensively across North America and elsewhere. However London is my home and it is my favourite city. It has everything.

- I always keep fit. It’s important to be fit and healthy so I use the gym regularly. I swim, do yoga and play sports. On the less active side I enjoy reading, film and travel. I’m degree level qualified and well educated.

- I’m quite shy and quiet in my ‘normal’ life but when I’m doing massage I’m much more confident. I think being naturally quiet and reserved helps me to put my clients at ease when they visit me for a massage. Whilst I appear confident and assured as a masseur I’m very aware of how my client may be feeling. I try my best to make them feel welcome and in good hands.

- I think they’re right. Meeting new people and understanding their motivations and desires is addictive. When they leave with a smile on their face it’s very satisfying.

- It is important to know what you’re doing yes. Experience also helps. The most important thing is a passion for making that connection.

- I’ve been a masseur for about 4 years. I will continue as long as I still get requests.

- You must enjoy meeting every client. Massage is so intimate and personal that it is immediately noticeable to your client if you are not enjoying giving the massage. Then it becomes just a transaction and that is a bad massage. I believe the masseur must be emotionally and physically connected to the person they are massaging. If you cannot do this for every client then don’t become a masseur.

- I’d like then to think “I’d love to see him again “

- I’ll let others decide that! I’ve been doing massage for three years so I think that can be considered successful.

- Relaxed, happy, attractive, desired, confident and satisfied. Most of all I’d like them to want to return.

- I’m sure that every masseur has something special to offer their clients. For me it’s my desire to please and my professional approach. As a naked masseur I’m also extremely blessed in certain important areas which many clients enjoy!

- I got some fantastic training from a very experienced and expert masseur. He told me I had a natural skill for it. I learned a lot from him and I enjoy putting that into practice. I do massage because it’s good to do what you love. I hope my clients can tell that I am enjoying the massage as much as they are.

- Yes I remember my first paying client. I’d done plenty of massages before that, including acting in massage movies so I wasn’t worried about the actual massage, I knew what to do. I was concerned to give my client a good time and that he would be happy. As it turned out he was a fantastic first client. He was very tall which made it a bit difficult reaching him but I managed ok. I’ve massaged him a few times since so I suppose he must have enjoyed the massage. He certainly seemed very happy at the time. He doesn’t know he was my first proper client; maybe I’ll tell him one day.
