KenzoNYC's Massage Interview
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy creating massive works of art, mainly acrylic paintings. I enjoy traveling and photographing landscapes and urban living through street photography.
Why did you become a Masseur?
Somebody in my family struggles with MS and there were many instances where I would assist therapist with their sessions. It turned out I was a natural. When I started Grad School I made the crazy decision to also pursue Massage Training at the same time.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
Close to 8 years now, and who knows? I might go on for another 8 or more 😅
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
In part yes, but it is also very much about intuition and having the desire to please and an openness to experience intense energy shifting, and knowing how to deal with it.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want them to feel 100 lbs lighter, in rush of endorphins, and hopefully replaying the experience in their heads.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I am very happy with my career choices, so I would say: absolutely!
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Is your heart in it? Then go for it.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
Travel travel travel

Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I missed it these last 17 months when I decided to take a break because of the pandemic. I can only imagine how much I would miss it if I weren’t able to continue.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I’m kind, driven, and I take my career very seriously.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Pumped up!
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I don’t really know anyone else on the site, but it would be fair to say that our work speaks for itself.
