MASSOLONGUEUIL's Personal Masseur Interview

- My first client was from Craigslist, just before obtaining my diploma. After a few e-mail conversations, he made an appointment and loved his massage! I was very proud of myself. To this day, this client comes to see me every 2 weeks. We’ve since become best of friends.

Mon premier client avait répondu à une annonce dans Craigslist. J’étais à un mois d’obtenir mon diplôme. Après quelques conversations par courriel il a pris un rendez-vous et il a aimé! J’étais très fier de moi. Ce premier client vient toujours me voir à toutes les deux semaines. Avec le temps nous avons développé une grande amitié.

- Now that’s a good question! You really need to be a hard worker with good training and be tough because it’s a difficult job. It’s important to have compassion for others, be humble and to love your profession. You really must be generous and attentive otherwise your client will feel it. Massage therapy touches many senses.

La question à 100$ Ha! Je pense sincèrement qu'il faut être travaillant, avoir une bonne formation et être endurant car c'est un métier difficile. C’est important d’avoir de la compassion pour autrui, savoir être humble et aimer son métier. Il faut surtout être généreux et attentif car ça transparait dans le massage et les gens le ressentent. C'est une profession qui touche tous les sens!

- After much reflection regarding my job as a sommelier, I decided that I wanted to become a massage therapist. The restaurant environment can be quite stressful. The hours are difficult and the clients can be demanding. Towards the end I simply had lost my passion. I therefore tried out massage therapy. For a full year I studied during the day and worked at night. I did not have a social life! I started working as soon as I obtained my diploma. Right from the start I had regular, friendly clients. I was very proud for getting out of my comfort zone and accepting this new professional challenge. And here I am 10 years later still loving what I do.

- I don’t associate with the gay scene. I like culture and to travel. History and geography are also my passion. I was a sommelier before becoming a massage therapist. I am epicurean down to my soul and I Iove to cook. I am naturally shy which some people interpret as being a bit cold but once you get to know me, you realize that I am quite friendly with a great sense of humour.

Je suis quelqu’un qui ne fréquente pas le milieu gai. J’aime la culture et les voyages. L’histoire et la géographie me passionnent beaucoup. J’ai été sommelier avant d’être massothérapeute. Je suis épicurien dans l’âme et j’adore cuisiner. Je suis quelqu’un de réservé de nature et quelques fois perçu comme en étant un peu froid mais quand tu creuses un peu tu t’aperçois que je suis un mec chaleureux avec un très bon sens de l’humour.

- Honestly, I hesitated a long time before joining Rentmasseur. I had my doubts whether I would be successful. Boy, was I wrong! First of all, I know my strengths. My clients often mention that my touch is soothing and that I am generous. My movements are polished and graceful with an excellent technique. My massage room and its environment is very important to me. It must always be clean, well decorated and surrounded by the best relaxing music. I am very disciplined and intuitive when it comes to my massage. I also manage my schedule very well so that my clients never feel rushed.
