MATEOA's Massage Interview
Why did you become a Masseur?
I know what is like to have a drowsy day, not feeling like yourself and not wanting to do much because of tense muscles and body tiredness so I decided that I wanted to provide a service where I can help someone in some way to improve their state being so they can feel like themselves and have a wonderful day feeling like themselves.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I don’ like to compare to anyone. Everyone is unique in their own way. I try to provide the best service experience where the client always ends up happy, relax and wanting to follow with my service.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I love traveling and the reason is because I get a mental break. Even though I am traveling to another city for work, it still gives me time to explore new cities and get know more people and it’s culture. Home will always be home but a break from home is also good
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I would miss meeting new people and the little smile they have after a massage when they are all relax and relieve
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Yes because the human body is a complex artwork. There are tons of muscle that need work specially if the person does certain activities or sports, like tennis players or who’s work requires lots of muscle work.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I live in a city where there’s lots of outdoor activities. I enjoy going to the gym, rollerblading, going to the beach, traveling, dinning out, meeting new people and taking care of my body
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I would say so yes but there’s always room for improvement the reason why say this is because we are always learning something new. It takes time and years to master something and even though you master it you’re always improving things and learning. For example, doctors they are always learning something new. And that’s what makes someone successful, not get comfortable with what you know but always le ranking something new and improving your techniques.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Satisfy and Relax
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
I would give this advice to anyone trying something new, try it out and see how you like because not everything is for everyone, you have to fall in love with your work to be able to provide the best service and the experience for a costumer.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I started about a year ago and it’s been a beautiful journey, I have learn a lot and discover new techniques to achieve full muscle relaxation. I think it’s something that I would keep doing for a while, can’t say forever because new business opportunities can come and I’m always looking to improve myself and shooting higher.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
My smile is a silent killer so watch out. From the moment you meet me, you will always see a smile on my face which transmit humbleness, honesty and security. There’s many things that can go in life but when it comes to work, the world is in pause and that moment with the client is like nothing is happening.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Satisfy and that they had the best experience
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I do because it was my first client ever and I was so nervous because I didn’t know if the client would be satisfy my service but once I got know the client a bit more and started doing my job I felt like I was home. The client was pleased with my work and has been my client since I first started.
The day I decided to be a masseur I was undecided wether to do it or not but I thought let’s try it out because there’s nothing to loose. I’m glad I made the decision to do it because it has been a beautiful journey
