MagicMuscleWork's Personal Masseur Interview
Last Updated: Sep 18, 2022

1
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?

- BAsed on the feed back I get from clients, I believe I am very successful at what I do. I know the anatomy of a body, and give an actual truly deep tissue (if desired) therapeutic massage in addition to the sensual aspects. I am strong AF and have big hands, which help give a great massage. I have done masssage full time before, but I prefer to practice massage in addition to my litigation paralegal career, which I love so much. it's like I get the best of both worlds doing what I love, sort of like how my clients get the best of both worlds too.

2
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?

- Setting up appointments should be as easy, convenient and stress-free as possible - because time is valuable. I want my clients to feel like they got an experience worth more than the money they spent, to feel both the immediate and lasting positive physical effects from the session, to leave feeling they were treated to a high quality massage, that they were comfortable and safe and happy they chose me for their session. And of course, already thinking about their next session with me.

3
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?

- Well, obviously my handsome mug and insanely hot body are so much better than the rest! I also am very facetious sometimes. I feel that for a big guy, I come off as personable, and take pride in making my clients feel comfortable - like they are spending time with a good acquaintance. I enjoy having smart and educated conversations during my sessions, and love learning about my clients' lives and experiences. That being said, I am a good listener and intuitive enough to know when a client would rather have me shut the hell up than try to engage in conversation. It's all about the client experience. It's expensive, and our clients deserve a quality service.

4
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?

- My hobbies include climbing mountain summits, skiing, camping, trying new restaurants, music and travel. I really missed not having any ethnic food in Montana, because I can live off Hispanic and Asian food easy. I am the epitome of a gym rat. I do high intensity interval training (HIIT) and lift weights 5-6 days a week. My workouts take me to my physical limits, and I love that feeling of seeing how far I can go. Having a good group of friends who are driven with similar interests is important to me. I also am open to meeting and dating new guys. I mean come on, I lived in Montana for the last 5 years, and it's a no man's land up there yo.

5
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?

- I love to travel, both domestically and internationally. I have been to S. America and Asia, and I am dreaming of a trip to Italy and Croatia. If I was rich I would be going to the Maldives and Bora Bora, but all in good time. I love meeting new people and experiencing all the things that different cultures have to offer. I work hard, train hard, and stay very busy with my hobbies, so a quiet night at home is predominantly the norm for me. Let's just say I'd much rather be cuddled up on the couch watching sports (don't hate) and catching up on Days of Our Lives (definitely don't hate, it's the best show..comedy?...on TV ever) than out on the town. That being said, you will find me once in a while at the Eagle LA on a Saturday night with friends.

6
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?

- Talk to other therapists for their advice.I assisted one of my friends with his entry into the massage world on rent masseur. I showed him pretty much everything to know, from advice on lotion, oils, buying a table, massage techniques, timing a massage, vetting potential clients, setting his price for each session , stories I have about my experiences wtih clients, pretty much everything. Last I heard, he is kicking *** and his clients love him, so talk to another therapist if possible. They can teach you at the beginning of your journey, rather than you learning stuff as you go.

7
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?

- I believe so, but extensive training is subjective. I do not have my LMT, but I was taught by good friends in Montana who are Licensed Massage Therapists, many who are RNs as well. They would massage me and explain their technique as they proceeded with the sessions, and then I'd take them to a nice restaurant or whatever in return. I learned a ton, and I also am open to doing massage trade with other therapists, because it is a good way to learn cool techniques you may not know and you can share your cool techniques with other homies.

8
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?

- I lived in Montana for a large part of my life, and just recently returned to Los Angeles. I have a deep affinity for nature and the outdoors. I am an avid mountain climber, skier, and former whitewater rafting guide. I also hold a BA and MA in Sociology of Law, as well as my paralegal certification. Oh yeah, I am also an identical twin - I am 2 minutes older than my brother but years wiser and much better looking! And I am a smart *** if you did not already figure that out.
