MajorPain's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I met my first client authentically. I was out in public in a casual setting and I was approached by a very confident and respectful man who happened to find me attractive. We exchanged phone numbers and that led him to my massage table :)
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I'd most definitely miss the intellectual conversation and learning each individual to connect with them mind, body, and soul on a sensual and therapeutic level.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Absolutely. There is healing in my touch and my attentiveness. My many repeat clients are the living proof and I happen to be very grateful for my success as a masseur.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I'd like my clients to know that I'm a gentle soul. I'm very respectful and well mannered, outside of my masseur work I like to travel the world and take photos of architecture, landscapes, cultural local arts, and miscellaneous sceneries. My canon is always with me and I actually take some really great photos!
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want you to feel like it was so good and you must have more!! I want you to become a magnet to my table baby!
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Leisure travel, Photography, Hiking, Camping, Painting, Pottery classes, Wine tasting, Fine dining.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I became passionate about creating a safe space where guys can come relax, let go of the worries of today, and feel most comfortable to be themselves in a private setting. I love to get a massage but I also love to give a warm oily massage as well. It started out as a hobby that I happen to love more and more with each touch.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Do not hesitate! Spread love :)
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I'm the golden egg! It is very rare to find a golden egg, so i'm some one that you will only find one time in this lifetime. The good thing about being the golden egg is that I will lead you to my nest of golden eggs so that you may crack me open as many times as you wish. Btw- I love metaphors! :)
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I've been a masseur for roughly 6 years now and I honestly believe I will continue my services for a few more years even if it's on an every now and then basis.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I travel frequently. I prefer to travel, create memories, meet new friends, and live through my experiences without losing the moment.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
It depends on the masseur.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want clients to feel warm, relieved and satisfied. Feel so good that you schedule your next appointment within the same session!
