Manly_Massage's Personal Masseur Interview
Last Updated: Jan 16, 2020

1
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?

- Yes, for me, giving sensual, erotic massages is very addictive, which is partly why I limit myself to 2 - 3 a week. I have a day job I need to do, and if I didn't monitor myself I'd be doing two massages a day and letting my day job suffer... can't let that happen!! :)

2
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?

- I travel to Seattle for work several times a year. Other than that I'm pretty much in the Southern California area, and I prefer to work out of my house in Long Beach. But I'm not opposed to travelling to see a client. Sometimes my job takes me to many other countries around the world, so I'll try and find clients while I'm travelling abroad.

3
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?

- THIS IS IMPORTANT! I want my clients to feel VERY relaxed after they're done with our session. I want them to feel cared for. I want them to feel like they've made a friend. I want them to feel that all their expectations and more were met. I want them, as they're falling asleep that night, to be remembering some of the best parts during our massage session together... :)

4
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?

- I've been doing non-professional massages for over 20 years. Now that I'm offering massages as a secondary profession, I'd like to continue until I no longer enjoy it, and hopefully that doesn't happen. I don't plan on giving more then 2 to 3 a week, so with that amount I don't think I'll burn out and will continue to look forward to seeing my clients and doing massages on the side for several years.

5
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?

- Most of my hobbies are outdoors: beach volleyball, running (on the beach of course), rollerblading (along the beach), rock climbing, playing with my dog, hiking, hosting game nights at my house, and traveling.

6
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?

- First off, I'm passionate about the male body (including my own). I love both giving and receiving massages, but if I had to choose I'd say I enjoy giving them a bit more (I'm a bit of a control freak). I love the feel of another man's skin on mine, which is why I use so much of my body while I'm giving a massage: my hands of course, my arms, legs, and my entire torso. It's important to me that I enjoy our experience as well, so I don't always take every potential client. I need to know that I'll be able to give my client "all of me" during the massage session.

7
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?

- I think what distinguishes me from the other masseurs here (and I've seen many on this site, in many different cities), is that I don't do this for my main source of income. I do it when I want and with whom I want. You will not feel like I don't want to be there with you - that you are just a client on a table. I've felt that way many times by the other masseurs on here, and it's not a good feeling to have. I won't let my clients feel that way.

8
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?

- Don't become a masseur for the money. It's hard work. You have to love what you're doing. Otherwise your clients are going to "get" that you're not into it, that you don't really want to be there with them, and that's not a good feeling for a client to have. Only become a masseur because you really love this work, and getting paid for it is just an added bonus.

9
Why did you become a Masseur?

- I've become a part-time masseur because I love giving massages in my private life. I love the male body, and I love catering to it. I love making men feel good. This isn't my main source of income; it's something I'm choosing to do in my spare time because I enjoy it so much.

10
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?

- I want my clients to feel amazing when they leave. I don't want them to feel like they got what they expected, I want them to feel like they got MORE than they expected. I don't want a lot of one-time clients. I want my clients to come back and see me regularly, and that only happens if they leave extremely satisfied.

11
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?

- I definitely consider myself a successful masseur. I have been massaged in many countries around the world, and I know what I've liked and what I haven't been so thrilled about. It's my belief that the techniques that masseurs have done with me in the past that have brought me to an amazing place are the same techniques that will bring my clients to similar, amazing places. If I don't think I can give someone an amazing massage, it's likely I won't take the job. I'd rather not take the job than possibly disappoint them.
