What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I’m clumsy, I leave my ego in the next room. I do not talk very much during my sessions because my focus is on my client. I don’t have nor use scented candles. There’s no sound of the rain forrest in the background , but I do randomly choose just one song I play on my iPad for the first couple minutes. It’s not for them, I say to them, it’s strickly for me. I get my head in that song to relax my mind so I can focus only on my client. Oh,and I also do life coaching where I now have four clients.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Love what you do or find something else
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Most things are addictive to me since 8 have that personality I guess. I’d miss it because it’s always on my mind. Do I need to bye lotion, oil, etc is constantly on my mind. Laundry detergent goes in and out of my house more than my mother used for five of us kids and both herself and my dad. I was a lot because as soon as a client leaves, I strip and toss it in the wash to keep organized. Seems hectic at times but after 38 years in the Catering industry, you learn to move fast, clean as you go without anyone noticing (if anyone was).
