MassageByLeo's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I do. It was actually a friend of mine some years ago after I had just finished training. I was nervous, wanted to do a good job and eager to please. I realized then all the formal training takes a back seat when you're in a non-class setting. I learned to go with the flow, follow the energy of the body, and delivery a customized massage catered to the client.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Yes, I would. I meet so many people from so many different walks of life. No two days are the same, truly. I've traveled to many different countries and seen places I never would have thought my massage talents would take me.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Success is relative. I am successful every time a client has a fully satisfying experience on my table.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I am open minded and love conversation. Don't be shy :)
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Relaxed and satisfied
Why did you become a Masseur?
I have always believed that touch could be healing. We as humans have lost the art of touch. Everything is digital and impersonal. I wanted to connect back to the personal relation between two people.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Take care of your clients and treat them as individuals.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I am personable, honest, openminded and down-to-earth.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Travel
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
Three years and until my hands tell me it is time to stop.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
Weekly. I prefer to travel. I've seen almost every continent and time zone in the world.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Some of the best masseurs are self taught, so no.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want them to come back, so of course satisfied and relieved.
