MassageByMike's Massage Interview
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Relaxed, Happy, Better than when they came in. A little taller with and a grin on their face. Like they got what they finally needed.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I would. I need to do it. I love doing massage. It's the only think I do. Can't think of doing anything else
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I'm a healer very intuitive at reading bodies and always work on Hands and feet. I listen to my clients needs and wants and then deliver a custom massage just for them
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I've been doing massage for over 22 years, can't think of doing anything else.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I've traveled for clients to some wonderful places and countries but I'm very much a homebody these days .
Why did you become a Masseur?
I started doing 4 handed massages part time with my ex. who was a CMT. When we broke up I decided to start a solo career and went to school and became a massage therapist. When you love something and are good at it you should do it. It's a calling.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Learn to listen and be empathetic. Love what you're doing and it will show.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I had been doing 4 handed massages part time with my partner for about a year. When we broke up I was asked if I'd be willing to do a massage solo and I agreed. He couldn't have been nicer. Told me it was the best massage he'd ever had. He stayed a client for many years until he moved out of state.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Like they were in great hands and got what they finally needed & wanted. I want a client to leave feeling better and lighter than when they arrived.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes, I have dozens of clients that I adore and see on a regular basis. Most have been with me for decades.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Professional training is a must but if you're not good at what you do, no amount of training will make you successful
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I'm a healer and I have a kind heart and soul. I always give 110%.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I work out daily and I love to cook & bake.
Love to walk in our local mountains or at the beach.
