MassageDaddy's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I was living in TX at the time and my friend asked me to run his massage business when he was gone to Alaska for the summer. I was amazed how much I enjoyed it and thats how I got started.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I do enjoy doing massage, I get to meet so many people that normally I would never have had the opportunity to meet. So Yes,, I'd miss it.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I'd say so,, After moving to Chicago 6 years ago, my client list had grown 10 fold.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
Well something I'd like my clients to know is that I like to balance my massage career with my other passion gardening. I'm so relaxed and at peace when I'm working with my plants.. Its my therapy.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want them to feel like they just had and experience of a lifetime and that they cant wait till their next session.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love working in my garden and anything to do with plants.
Why did you become a Masseur?
Well I love the freedom to set my own schedule and the fulfillment of seeing what my job does for many people.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Its not as easy as they might think. I can be very exhausting if you have a day with several clients
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I'd say I'm different that many as a more mature masseur and experience over some of they younger guys.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I've been a masseur for 15 years now . I'll do it as long as I enjoy it and my clients feel I'm giving them the massage they want.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I love to travel I get the do it pretty often with another one of my hobbies.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I'd say dedication is more important than training. You will learn so much as you practice the art.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want them to feel like they got what they came for and can't wait to make another appointment.
