Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I don’t think so. With everything, if you’ve got “IT” then you just do. Massage is moreso about intuition than academia. Technical knowledge is vital in forming a style with different modalities but it isn’t the only criteria for a great masseur.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I do. I’ve had clients all over the world and the consensus is the same: satisfaction. I pride myself on my technique and intuition. The money has been lucrative but the general feedback is priceless!
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client was a nice gentleman in LA who had a gorgeous penthouse. The session was very relaxed although I was a bit nervous. His reaction to my touch and desire to make it recurring gave me the confidence boost I needed. I haven’t stopped since.
