MasseurJeremy's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
The first customer was a new experience. I was very happy to do a job and the customer felt pampered which made me feel more motivated to move forward.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Yes. Definitely. I like my profession.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes, I have regular clients and I consider that I’m a good masseur.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Athletics, gym, reading, fishing, movies
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I am first of all very accepting of what peoples desires and needs are and aim to help the find what the are looking for.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
They always feel so grateful and fully satisfied.
Why did you become a Masseur?
Well, I've thought about in the past a lot; and just wondering if it'll fit for me. So I'm giving it a go; if I like this basic start that I always go all the way-ideally with a full license for registered theraputic massage. Gotta think of the future right!
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Never stop learning about the body and what people like you can never know everything it takes to be good at your craft
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
Now this is a somewhat difficult question. One thing I never say or put in advertising is the phrase "best in New York". I believe we all have our own individual styles and techniques and leave the "best" word up to our clients if they might feel that way. I respect all the other masseurs and never feel that I am in competition with anyone. We all enjoy what we do or we most likely wouldn't be doing it.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I am in my 4th year of practice. I hope to do as long as my body can handle it.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I can host or travel. I truly prefer to travel to my client and attend them in the luxury of their home.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Yes, but on the job training and practicing is the best way to learn.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Rejuvenated, refreshed, relaxed and fulfilled.
