Mateo_Galioto's Massage Interview
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I am trilingual ☺️
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I’d definitely miss the interesting and diverse personalities I get to meet, and the capability of fast income.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Relieved, satisfied, refreshed, glowing and motivated.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
My gregarious nature, and inquisitive personality.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
For a year, and will be doing so until i move to Spain at the end of the year
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
First and foremost you should consistently be educating yourself on massage techniques and enable yourself to focus all your energy on a clients body and their relaxation. Secondly, brush up on your interpersonal and communication skills.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to work out, watch horror movies (I am a huge horror movie buff), and learn about geography and foreign cultures. I am a gamer as well, dead by daylight, resident evil, mortal kombat, are my current fixations gaming wise.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes, because i have acquired clients who request follow up visits, as well as many reaching out after our sessions letting me know how comfortable they felt with me due to our intense and endearing conversations, as well as enjoying my massage techniques.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
Yes, I was so nervous that i talked so much during my massage that i caught myself and apologized. The client proceeded to then tell me not to apologize because of the genuine interest i showed in their life, the questions I asked and how I can carry a conversation so organically.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want them to leave feeling like they can trust me with anything as our sessions are 100% confidential, discrete and overall a safe space.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I wanted to put my social skills, and love for human pleasure to use in a productive sense. I love people, and I get to meet, and learn about so many types of individuals.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I travel monthly, and i definitely consider myself a traveler. I am most certainly not a homebody, as I love socializing, new experiences and meeting new people; This line of work satisfies all of the above.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
No, just be personal, open minded and know basic massage techniques. Do not overthink it, and don't do anything you or the client are not comfortable with. Respect is key!
