MelanatedTouch's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
Yes. I was a tad nervous but had everything prepared. Once we got started, it just flowed. After we were done, I knew this was what I was called to do. He enjoyed it and I felt satisfaction in knowing I performed well.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
It can be! I enjoy connecting with people and providing the relief they need. Often men are craving touch and intimacy just as much as they need their muscles relaxed. I aim to do both.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
While I'm still fairly new, it's going amazing. So far everyone has been completely pleased. I am continuing to learn and grow.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I love people, conversation and traveling. I want my clients to feel free to be open with me. I am 100% non-judgmental and definitely have a listening ear.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Relaxed and relieved. And I want them excited about coming back!
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love music, especially live concerts, traveling to foreign destinations and eating great meals. I also enjoy connecting with my family and close friends.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Continue to hone in on your craft. Focus on providing the best experience possible and the clients will come. And continue to come back.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I try to listen to the body. The breathing, the muscles, and the movements. My goal is to ensure I'm giving a total experience.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I love traveling. Right now about 4-5 times a year but if I could do more I absolutely would!
Why did you become a Masseur?
I have always been a fan of massages. But for years, I could only find a few people that truly provide me with the touch and massage technique I needed. So I decided to take a combination of what I was missing with some training and decided do launch my own business. I absolutely love providing people with the massage that they need and that is my aim each time.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been doing informal massages for years (more than 10), but as a business for about a year. I think I'll continue until the Lord tells me to stop lol!
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I think with anything, the more training you get, the better you become. Although I've had some training, my goal is to continue to improve. I would love to travel overseas and get training in various contries and techniques!
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want them to leave feeling relieved and relaxed, with a sense of renewal and ready to conquer the day!
