MuscleManJohn's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I saw my first client almost 18 yrs ago, and of course, was very nervous. I was fresh out of my first massage school, and wanted everything to be perfect. Luckily, I had a really nice man, who was very friendly and soon became one of my regular clients. I have the best memories of him.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I've always loved touch. I love giving massage, I love being massaged. I enjoy the interaction with men during massage, some enjoy a quiet time, others love to talk during their session, and I love it all. There is an energy exchange that takes place, and leaves both the client and masseur feeling refreshed, and fulfilled.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I have been able to offer men massage for almost 18 yrs. I have regular clients, as well as new clients always. This makes me very happy , so yes, I think I have been successful at offering my best to men.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I love working out, bodybuilding, and training others to achieve their goals, In addition to massage, I offer personal fitness coaching in my home gym, Many massage clients have become fitness clients, and some get both on the same day. I love being able to offer this. I enjoy my 2 hour workouts, bodybuilding and do it 6 days weekly.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want men who see me for massage, to feel both relaxed and fulfilled. I want them leave with a smile on their faces, and to look forward to seeing me again. I want to leave an impression so that men come to see me more than once.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love working out, reading, taking my dogs to the beach. Love working in my garden, meeting up with friends to hang out,..love doing training for others as well. I love living in San Francisco also!!
Why did you become a Masseur?
I became a Masseur because I had a talent and passion for giving pleasure and relief using my touch, my strength, my body.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Be a giving person. Be the type of person that gets pleasure from making another person relax and benefit from your gifts.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I have a unique touch, a very different approach to massage, that encompasses many , many different techniques. I am very relaxed during a massage , and enjoy the exchange of energy. I use my entire body to relax the men who come and see me.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been a Masseur for 18 yrs, and I intend to continue as it is a life passion of mine.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I am more of a homebody. In my first few years of being a masseur, I traveled to various cities. Now that I have a beautiful garden massage and fitness training suite in my home, I prefer to have clients come to me, as I offer the very best experience in my garden massage suite.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I believe that you should know your craft, your art. I have studied at 3 separate massage schools over the years , learned the anatomy and science of massage, so that I could add my own intuitive artistic approach to create something truly unique. I do think training is important, but also is equally important is an innate ability for touch and to connect with another man.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
My goal is to have clients feel Wonderful. My goal is for clients to WANT to come back as often as budget will allow them. My goad is to make my clients Happy.
