MuscleOso's Personal Masseur InterviewLast Updated: Aug 18, 20:21
- I'm all about balance... Mind, body, and soul. I try to have them establish this balance while on my table
- There are new studies and improved techniques that everyone should be aware of. I get that it is more work but the playoff is found in new clients.
For example, I'm really big into pelvic floor focused sessions... Nor many have heard of the area but it has some really wonderful prospects.
- I've been off and on for over 10 years. It has been there when I was in some hard times... And it's been there when life was good and I needed a different outlet. I don't think I could ever stop it
- Think of why you want to be a masseur. If it's anything other than a caregiver focus, you will end up feeling empty. If you can't be proud of what you do, then you should really think about what makes you happy.
- I'm a hands on, true to my word, kind of guy. My trips around the sun have taught me that life is too short to be living a lie or even half truth.
- My first client wasn't really a client but more of a partner who encouraged me to be more independent and be my own boss. He was so helpful on gaining my confidence and building my knowledge on the different bodyworking techniques.
- I think that we all have our own spin on life and work. Be it via establishing an environment that is inviting or using the hands in a special way, we all try to offer the client a little bit of ourselves in the bodywork.
- I used to be a pastry chef, so during the winter months I love to bake. During the summer months I explore painting. I also love to dabble as an amateur performer.
- Relaxed and satisfied. I am aware that the services I offer are in "luxury" section of any household budget and that many clients travel a distance for the session. They will always be greeted with a genuine "Hello. How are you?" and I am one who will honestly care for what you say.
- I prefer to say that I am happy at what I do. Life is too short to be stuck in a shitty job.
- It kind of is VERY addictive, but I would put it in par with being a bartender. Both are very service focused and require a certain level of empathy in order to maintain clients. There is one major advantage over bartending, seeing my clients leave with a more relaxed demeanor without being drunk.
