- About once a month. I like both actually. Traveling makes me feel rejuvenated and I like seeing new clients in new markets and building up my client base. But it's always good to be back at home too!
- Hire other masseurs and pay attention to how they work, asking questions as they do their job. Buy The Trail Guide to the Body -- one of the best pictorial books on anatomy in existence. Buy some books on massage techniques, and study those, as well as watch massage videos online. Practice on your friends and family, and ask them what feels good and what doesn't. And once you start seeing clients, always ask for feedback on how you're doing, and improvise new techniques as you go along.

I can go beyond superficial techniques to trace out tension along myofascial chains, address postural problems, restore joint mobility, and reestablish balance of movement to my clients. I also continue my professional education by reading extensively.
