PLEASURESSAGE's Massage Interview
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
ABSOLUTELY! I love the opportunities to meet new people. I've been addicted to being a massage therapist for over 25 years now.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes. My massage career has been the best. As long as I have been doing this, I'm still enjoying what I do and the results I get for my clients. Everyone is so unique. I consider myself successful when I can assist someone into relaxing into their own uniqueness.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Totally relaxed and happy they chose me. I do a lot to relax my clients. I can also address body issues that they may be experiencing. No one can relax if they are in pain or discomfort
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I do several techniques that most therapists do not do. Positional Release, Yogassage, and Medical Massage to name a few. I frequently combine techniques to obtain the best results for my clients.
I also offer Spa Services, Body Polishes, Mud Wraps and Paraffin Treatments. These services can be combined with a massage for a decadent spa day.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
My focus is on YOU. I'm here for you to have the best massage experience possible. I want you to be comfortable. I understand when potential clients say they are a little nervous. Let me assure you there is no reason to be. I'm here for YOU.
Some recovery techniques can be time consuming. So if you need massage to see if it can help with a physical problem, please let me know up front and allow enough time to address the issue.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I've been a therapist for over 25 years. I plan to continue until I physically can't. So I'm thinking another 25 years at least.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
It depends on what you want to do with a massage career.
A simple basic massage is not hard to learn, and I teach that in my classes. You can learn simple moves and make them sensual and/or erotic. This can be wonderful for partners or friends to share. Come to a class and experience the fun of learning massage with friendly men that want to expand their massage experiences.
However, if you want to do massage professionally I recommend a good massage school. The first reason is so you learn body mechanics and do not hurt YOURSELF. Also you want to be aware of what your client is experiencing so you do not hurt them.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
Ahh, my first client was a wonderful man. He was a retired Internist. He remained my first client every week until he passed away in his 90's.
The day I decided to become a therapist is a longer story than I want to type in here, but feel free to ask.
