Patrice's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I do! You never forget. Just like your first date :) It was an outcall and I was a bit nervous but the client was wonderful and we chatted for a bit so we could both relax. It went so well, he became a regular. Right then I knew I had chosen the right career!
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Definitely. I'm a very social guy and I love the interaction with my clients. I'm a pleaser and so beyond helping my clients relax I love being able to provide that human connection, that special touch we all crave. It's very satisfying and empowering.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Absolutely. I would have quit a long time ago otherwise.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
Your satisfaction is my only goal. I love everyone and I love meeting new people. I'm super laid back and enjoy working on clients as much as I enjoy having a conversation with them.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Relaxed. In tune with the universe. Empowered. Human.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I'm a film buff. I love dinner with friends and new adventures wether in the outdoors or in the city. I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie but I also love reading and learning new things.
Why did you become a Masseur?
Because we all need to be touched.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Learn, listen to your clients, connect with them and enjoy your craft.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
Coming from a different culture and striving for satisfaction.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
10 years so far. I'll continue as long as I can :)
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I travel more than most people and yet I'm always ready for more. So much to explore and discover!
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Absolutely but the most important thing is to understand your clients' needs and be in tune with them.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Like they're waking up from a blissful dream. It's a body and mind experience. I like reminding people how wonderful it is to feel good :)
