Peytonjohn's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
First, let me start off by saying it was the best way to really get a feel for the business and the way each session should go. Very calm and natural conversation started the introduction and from there we just talked about everything that we had in common always kept it positive and would definitely say it was a relief. I Was nervous before the appointment but it ended with a great experience!
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I definitely don’t think it’s an addictive job or hobby at all. It’s something I enjoy doing because it’s nice meeting new people and getting to know how much people enjoy their massage or sometimes people leave with the same energy as they came in with. So I would say if it did come to an end, I wouldn’t miss the days because it was always a positive occupation that I saw help the majority of people and seeing people relaxed and at ease is the main purpose.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I wouldn’t consider myself successful unless all of my clients that I have booked sessions left happy and satisfied with the service provided so that would be a question for my clientele.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I’m very trustworthy and honest when it comes to any type of business, especially this business I decided to pursue. I’m very understanding, and I feel it’s always nice to meet new people while also giving them a relaxing experience and positive energy. I take my time and always want to know what’s in the clients best interest.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I feel that after a session or an appointment with any client, it should be up to them how they want to contact me in regards to booking another appointment. Text, call, email or write a review and message me on the app.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to go to the beach obviously during the summer and travel when able, but I’m also very big on photography sports mainly basketball and making music. I’ve been making music on and off for the past 10 to 12 years and it’s something I feel I’ll always enjoy creating and of course listen to. Music is a big part of my life.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I really decided that it’s something not only that I’m good at, but I know the understanding of wanting to relax and decompress so therefore I always try and make the client feel comfortable as possible. We all need time to just relax forget about everything and just rejuvenate our thoughts and body.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
I think that it is a business that you would have to really just go ahead and start. You’ll never know if you like the industry and being a masseuse unless you really try it out and get understanding of what it consist of. It’s definitely not for everybody, But you’ll never know until you try it out !
