1
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?

- I want you to know that I have a fear of heights.

2
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?

- I like clients to feel completely relaxed, rejuvenated, and satisfied with their experience when they leave. My goal is for them to feel that their needs have been thoroughly addressed and that they’ve received a personalized, effective treatment. I want them to leave feeling lighter, both physically and mentally, with a renewed sense of well-being and a positive outlook. It’s important to me that they feel valued and cared for throughout the entire process.

3
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?

- Yes, extensive training is essential for a masseur to be successful. Proper training provides a strong foundation in anatomy, massage techniques, and client care, which are crucial for delivering effective and safe treatments. It also helps build the skills needed to address various issues, understand different modalities, and stay current with industry standards. Continuous education and professional development further enhance a masseur’s expertise, ensuring they can provide the best care and stay competitive in the field.

4
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?

- I enjoy traveling and exploring new places, but I also value the comfort and stability of home. I try to balance my travels with time spent at home, as both experiences enrich my life in different ways. Traveling allows me to experience new cultures and gain fresh perspectives, while being at home provides a sense of grounding and relaxation. It’s all about finding that perfect balance between adventure and comfort.

5
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?

- I’ve been a masseur for 14 years, and I find great satisfaction in the work I do. I plan to continue in this field for as long as I am able, as it aligns perfectly with my passion for helping others and promoting well-being. My goal is to keep evolving with the industry, learning new techniques, and providing exceptional care to my clients for many years to come.

6
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?

- What distinguishes me from other masseurs is my holistic approach to massage therapy, blending various techniques to tailor each session specifically to my clients’ individual needs. I combine relaxation bringing a unique perspective on physical well-being and stress relief. My commitment to ongoing education and personal growth ensures that I stay current with the latest advancements in massage therapy. Additionally, I place a strong emphasis on creating a warm, welcoming environment where clients feel genuinely cared for and understood, which helps foster a deeper sense of relaxation and trust.

7
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?

- My advice to someone who wants to become a masseur would be to first make sure you have a genuine passion for helping others and a strong interest in anatomy and holistic health. It’s important to invest in a reputable massage therapy education and gain hands-on experience through practice and internships. Developing excellent communication skills is also crucial, as understanding and addressing your clients’ needs effectively is key to providing a successful massage experience. Additionally, staying committed to continuous learning and professional development will help you stay current with techniques and advancements in the field. Lastly, remember that building a successful practice takes time and dedication, so be patient and persistent in your journey.

8
Why did you become a Masseur?

- I became a masseur because I have always been passionate about helping people improve their well-being and quality of life, I’m a MD in the Dominican Republic I was drawn to the field of massage therapy because it combines my interest in anatomy and health with a hands-on approach to making a positive impact on others. The ability to provide relief, relaxation, and healing through touch deeply resonates with me, and I find great fulfillment in seeing my clients leave feeling better than when they arrived. It’s rewarding to know that my work contributes to their overall health and happiness.

9
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?

- I want every client who contacts me for a massage to leave feeling completely relaxed, rejuvenated, and free of tension. My goal is for them to experience a sense of well-being and relief from any stress or pain they may have been experiencing. I hope they feel cared for and appreciated, with a renewed energy and a clear mind, ready to take on whatever comes next in their lives.

10
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?

- In my spare time, I love to cook, play volleyball, and visit the beach. Cooking allows me to get creative and unwind, while volleyball keeps me active and competitive. Spending time at the beach is incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating for me. Most importantly, I cherish moments with my family, whether we’re enjoying a meal together, playing sports, or just relaxing by the water.

11
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?

- I consider myself a successful masseur because I’ve dedicated a lot of time and effort to honing my skills and understanding my clients’ needs. Over the years, I’ve built a loyal client base who regularly return and refer others to me, which I take as a strong sign of my effectiveness and professionalism. My goal has always been to help my clients achieve better physical and mental well-being, and I feel fulfilled when they leave a session feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. I continually invest in further education and stay updated with the latest techniques and trends in massage therapy to ensure I’m providing the best possible care. Seeing the positive impact my work has on people’s lives is incredibly rewarding, and it motivates me to keep improving.

12
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?

- Absolutely, I can see how being a masseur could be considered addictive. The hands-on nature of the work, the immediate feedback from clients, and the satisfaction of helping people feel better can be incredibly fulfilling. There’s a unique connection that forms between a masseur and their clients, built on trust and the shared goal of improving well-being.

If I were to move on from being a masseur, I imagine I would miss several aspects of those days. I’d miss the serene atmosphere of the spa, the sense of calm that comes from focusing on the present moment, and the personal interactions with clients. Each session is an opportunity to make a tangible difference in someone’s life, whether it’s alleviating pain, reducing stress, or simply providing a moment of relaxation.

Overall, being a masseur offers a unique blend of personal connection, skillful practice, and meaningful impact. It’s easy to see why it could be addictive and why I’d miss those days if I moved on to something else.

13
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!

- On my first day as a masseur, I remember feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness as I walked into the spa. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, with soft music playing in the background and the subtle scent of essential oils filling the air. I had spent months training and preparing for this moment, but the reality of having my first client was a different kind of anticipation.

My first client was a middle-aged woman named Sarah. She seemed a bit tense as she entered the room, but she greeted me with a warm smile. We chatted briefly, and she told me about the persistent back pain she had been experiencing due to her desk job. I could tell she was hopeful that the massage would bring her some relief.

She thanked me sincerely and mentioned how much better she felt, which was incredibly rewarding to hear. As she left, I took a moment to reflect on the experience. It was both challenging and fulfilling, and I felt a deep sense of satisfaction knowing I had made a positive difference in someone’s day.

That first day as a masseur was a pivotal moment for me. It reinforced my passion for the profession and gave me the confidence to continue honing my skills.
