RelaxationByNick's Personal Masseur InterviewLast Updated: Feb 01, 2023
- Yes, I consider myself a successful massage therapist.
- I've been a massage therapist for over 10 years and I'm confident that I will continue practicing for many years to come.
- In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and baking.
- As a massage therapist, it's important to be mindful, a good listener, respectful, and accepting of others' beliefs. Always show respect and never be dismissive of your clients' beliefs.
- I absolutely remember my first client. It was a defining moment for me when he told me that my touch had a therapeutic effect on him and he felt refreshed after our session. This positive feedback was a significant factor in my decision to pursue a career as a masseur and delve deeper into the field.
- I aim for my clients to feel relaxed and rejuvenated after their massage session. I follow up with each client after the session to gather feedback and ensure they received the best possible experience. Improving my services through client feedback is of utmost importance to me.
- What distinguishes me from other massage therapists is my unique techniques, personalized care, and respectful attitude towards all clients regardless of their age, weight, or identity. Privacy is a top priority for me, and I am always honest. And, let's not forget, my friendly smile just adds to the experience.
- I am flexible with regards to traveling, but I do have a preference for in-call appointments. This is because I am able to provide a wider range of services and a more personalized experience within the comfort of my studio.
- I became a massage therapist because massage therapy has a healing effect on me, both physically and mentally. I am passionate about helping others relieve pain through touch and find relaxation, stress relief, and comfort. While I am not a medical doctor, I believe that massage therapy is a reliable form of therapy that can provide numerous benefits to those who receive it.
- Continuing education and ongoing learning are crucial for success as a massage therapist. The requirement for LMT to continually update their techniques and knowledge every 2 years, as mandated by Nevada state, ensures that they remain professional and skilled in their role.
- As a licensed massage therapist, I hold myself to high standards and expect the same level of professionalism from others. I believe that effective communication between the client and therapist is key to a successful session. It is important to discuss your needs and preferences with your LMT before the session, rather than after it is over. My goal is for my clients to leave feeling satisfied with the experience.
- As a massage therapist, I find great joy and fulfillment in what I do. Therefore, I do miss the opportunity to help relieve someone's pain or make their day special if I don't have a massage session scheduled for that day.
- If I had to choose one thing for my clients to know about me, it would be that respect and comfort are always at the forefront of my approach.
