I was in the MN area for business conference and had the opportunity to book a session with Restorationhands. He was AMAZING and it was an exceptional experience. He applied just the right amount of pressure to every area and made sure to check in regularly to ensure everything was perfect. I'll see him Again for sure when returning to MN. Just what I needed! I have had a lot of massages and it can seem that some just go through the motions I never felt like it was that way with Restorationhands. Every stoke was intentional and it really felt like he had no where else he wanted to be. I walked out feeling amazing! You should take the time to visit.

Was in the MN area for business and hit up Restorationhands. He came to my hotel and from when he entered the room to the time he finished it was an incredible experience. He applied the right pressure to all areas and checked in from time to time to make sure all was good. I will be back to the MN area in a few weeks and intend to hit him up for another session. From the beginning of reaching out to Restorationhands, he was professional, he was able to schedule me within a few hours. His location is easy to get too, nice property, beautiful home. His studio was clean, warm and private. The massage was amazing, I left relaxed and appreciated. I recommend him.

Darren continues to be my first choice in considering a massage. His updated studio is even more cozy with the fireplace and tv. The mood is set immediately.

Simply amazing. That's how I would describe my session with Darren. He's extremely attentive and accommodating to your requests. He focuses his attention on areas of tension and soreness that you may have. The atmosphere is super comfortable. From start to finish, he delivers a memorable experience.

As with any service provider, if something isn't to your liking or you need special accommodations, speak up. While Darren seems to be able to sense what needs attention, he's not a mind reader. He made adjustments in session based on my requests.

I have been a client for three years scheduling monthly sessions. Darren has an exceptional talent knowing how to make you feel comfortable with the right touch. The remodeled studio with heated table - videos - music makes for a relaxing experience. If you’re looking for a good massage set up a session. I will keep going.

I’m reviewing my personal experience with Darren. A “good” massage therapist is somewhat subjective factoring in personality, appearance, techniques, atmosphere, etc.
Darren is a seasoned masseur, with a clean in home environment and clearly takes care of himself.
His response time and communication are what you should expect from a professional.
Unfortunately I felt we got off to an uncomfortable start.
I was greeted at the door by Daren and his lively doggo. I like dogs but have asthma and am sensitive to even non allergenic pups.
If Darren had insisted the dog be in the session (unusual imo) that would have been a deal breaker. He did acquiesce to leaving the doggo in another room stating the pooch would make a commotion. He didn’t lie lol.
I requested a Swedish massage with some therapeutic elements. Kind of a hybrid. The massage was relaxing and therapeutic though I would have preferred less time on my back and back legs and some attention to my feet, head, arms and front legs.
I do feel if requested Darren would have adjusted the session accordingly. However the first time I prefer to give the masseur Carte Blanche in order to get a feel for their technique.
Lastly my bear like physique concern seemed to be a non issue.
In conclusion Darren and I were not a compatible match.

It was easy to schedule the visit. Open and direct communication. Cozy massage studio. Massage was wonderful. He doesn’t watch time and provides full attention to the massage. Would definitely call to schedule another appointment when in Minneapolis. Highly recommend.

The time spent scheduling the appointment and in the company of this masseur was totally well-spent! The hour of the massage was an hour of rejuvenating and reparative (Swedish-style) massage (physically and mentally!). I am so glad that I had the opportunity to avail myself (and my body) to Restoration Hands. My only regret is that I do not live closer to Minneapolis. With a crazy "life" schedule, I was finally able to get in with Restorationhands. It was truly the absolute best massage I have ever received. I have gone to Restorationhands over five times over the past year. There are reasons why:
1. I am a heavier guy and he has never made me feel awkward or other than. He has always been very supportive of my journey.
2. The massage is very good. He takes his time, focuses on the task at hand and I can count on him for a consistent experience.
3. His studio is clean, professional and relaxing. He also communicates really well. Many times he has squeezed me in last minute and I never felt rushed.

I have asked him to consider other massage elements but it is up to him to determine if they work into the flow of the massage. I never leave disappointed even if he doesn't try different things. He is in charge and I'm there for a great experience which he always provides.
