ScooterPDX's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I remember the first massage I when I first joined RM, i drove to a gentleman's house and he had a massage studio already setup. The whole experience was very enjoyable and my client was a gracious host, he made me feel right at home. Ever since then I derive joy and pleasure from making my clients feel good by melting away their aches and pains.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
It can certainly be addicting, and I believe I would miss my Masseur days if it ever came to an end.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Based upon my reviews and what my clients have told me, I give one damn good massage. Some have said that they've given them the best massage of their lives which puts me over the moon, so yes I think I am a successful Masseur, just ask my clients.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
Im a very extroverted person who enjoys the simple pleasures of life. I love to workout and maintain my physicality, Im also a foodie which certainly doesn't help, but hey you only live once!. I also may have a devilish side to me which finds pleasure and joy hearing my clients moan when I find that particular spot that's been causing them the most pain and discomfort.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Hopefully a lot better than when they walked in! I want to make sure that if you're a new client or a repeat I want to make sure you feel amazing and satisfied at the end of each session.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Currently I enjoy working out and keeping fit and healthy, I enjoy long hikes with beautiful sceneries, friends who join me make for memorable experiences. I also enjoy doing a lot of cooking and baking and learning new recipes from time to time. I enjoy traveling when possible and love learning about the places I visit, common places i travel to are Palm springs and Puerto Vallarta Mexico. I also enjoy listening and dancing to music, chill house blended with melodic beats is my jam!!
Why did you become a Masseur?
Because I am enjoy the satisfaction I get by making somebody else feel amazing, plain and simple.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Make sure that you have the stamina and learn a variety of techniques before you start. Don't be afraid to try new things and experiment what works for you and your client.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
It's hard to say what distinguishes me between other masseurs, I just really enjoy offering the best massage I can with every client that books with me.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
Currently, I've been doing massage for about four years now, and I think I would continue giving massage for as long as I'm able.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I prefer a mix of both, although I enjoy the simple comforts of home life, I also enjoy getting out and exploring new places and learning about different cultures. Living in the Pacific Northwest, rain can certainly put a damper on one's mood, so traveling during those months is very enjoyable.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I would say you don't need extensive training to be a masseur, but I do believe you need to have the stamina and strength to offer the client a thorough good massage as well as a basic knowledge of massage techniques at your arsenal.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want them to feel rejuvenated, comfortable and at ease after a massage session, I also want them to feel cared for and knowing they're always welcome back on my table.
