SkylerW's Massage Interview
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Most Definitely! You can't be a masseur without building some kind of bond with the client. Have been doing massage for so long, most of my guests are repeats that have been with me for years. Not seeing so many people that I've healed would certainly leave a hole in my heart.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Very. While its only a part time occupation these days, I'm always overbooked with people who keep coming back because they determined my worth.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
It is always my goal to make sure that everyone that leaves me does so with more energy than they came in with and less stress. I want them to leave with a sense of peace and well being so they can pass those energies onto others.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
My high empathy and the ability to internalize what those on my table are feeling, not just the physical feelings but the emotional and spiritual energies as well. Those aspects allow me to maximize the potential of the massage and harmonize the energies within the body.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Not at all. While training is necessary to learn how not to hurt a person, the best masseurs I know have all had a natural talent. Not always the same talent, but all have the ability to read the body like brail and listen to what its saying. Thats not something extensive training usually gives. Its something you have to feel.
