SouthBay_Sean's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I remember being a bit nervous meeting someone I didn't know for something I wasn't sure where we would end up. But I quickly relaxed and learned to go with the flow.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Absolutely I would. I'm trying to figure out a way to keep it going as long as I can.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
There is a lot more than meets the eye.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want them to feel like they've gotten their moneys worth, I like to provide them with a priceless experience that they will keep coming back for. I'd want to them to feel like they can't wait to come back.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I'm very big into nature and reading and intellect.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Absolutely I would miss them.
Why did you become a Masseur?
At first I did it because I needed to make some extra money, and then I stayed with it because I truly enjoy it.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Have patience. Take care of yourself.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been a masseur for about a year now. I plan on continuing for another year until I'm through school and have landed a job. But who knows I like it so much I may continue for longer, just keeping my regular clients and seeing some new people on the side.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
You have to be intuitive about your touch. You are providing a service. If you have CMT then good, but it's not necessary.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I like them to feel like they'd want to come back.
