Stronghandsca's Massage Interview
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I would I love body work. I do creative things but find work has always helped me make great money and meet awesome people.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I do I have invested in training and with other skills combined great body work. I use my whole body even sometimes my trimmed beard.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I own a creative start up, I also teach bdsm, and like acting. I also ift weights and do MMA to stay in shape. I am part of a fight too. I also do stunts for film and TV.
Why did you become a Masseur?
In high school team mates said I had a good touch. I liked always working for my self and making people feel good.
That is the main reason why.
i also enjoy meeting new people.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Work for your self. Spa's may be a place to get started but one should get out on there own. Also this is a art. Until you know a client very well professionally do not
take checks. Also don't short change yourself. Zelle is a great App to use.
My fee is based on skill and travel. Also follow your gut, the one time I did not do it, some one attacked me. Never take blocked calls.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I find I offer a experience not just a quick hand job like a lot of guys online offer. I did study this and go to school for it. I want someone to have a full experience.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
16 to now so, I took work shops in high school and started practicing at a very early age. I went to college for this soon after high school to get trained.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I cant always host so have to travel. If I can host I will state in on this profile.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Sometimes, but paid classes and working with different bodies require a different skill set. Also a license will not guarantee a good massage.
License is a paper to operate in a specific city for body work. I find it almost like a scam each city you have to get a license for. It is better to asked where are you trained then if you are licensed.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Released and happy. I have a few great reviews here and also on Rentmen to.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I had always done it part time for years, then when I was laid off from a job that was I decided I do not want to go back to the dead end job grind. So my first client when in college told me he thought I had been a pro at this for years. I just had a natural touch and ability. I found out this client was the Spa manager the luxury resourt
The Montage in Orange County. Hearing this really let me know I was on the right path work wise.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
To feel released from their stress, for their mind to have clarity and to feel healed.
And of course wanting to back for more.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I use a mix of styles in my sessions that come from Swedish, Deep Tissue, Rolfing, Reflexology and Pre and Post Sports. Again I started this right out of high school. Before that I would practice on team mates and friends . I have many years experience in the art of bodywork. I also can do Ballistic Stretching after the session if needed. I was trained at Fullerton College. I do have a table. Some hotels though will not allow me to enter with my table. Fashion Island Hotel in Newport are one of these hotels.
(I can work fine on a bed to or the floor, over the years I found I have to adapt to many situations to give a great experience.)
