TantraNow's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
Having received many massages for many years, I began to realize that it was equally enjoyable to give as to receive. I attended several week long training sessions to tune my skills and realized that sharing energy and providing a massage to the satisfaction of others was as satisfying as receiving a good massage.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Connection and touch are addictive. I could not imagine living without either.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Feedback has always been positive so yes, I feel successful in what I provide.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
My primary focus is that they enjoy the session and they remain in complete control. And it is absolutely ok to ask for what they want and to be sure they are receiving a satisfying massage.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Relaxed yet energized. Invigorated and walking on air.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Swimming and bike riding are my new main hobbies, though I still enjoy skiing, hiking, and have started to play pickle ball.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I feel I have something to offer other men who seek connection. I have been told I have good energy and I enjoy sharing and spreading that energy to others. Tantra provides a great practice to share energy and develop strong connections.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Find your passion in the work, what will give you energy through the work. For me, it is almost a spiritual ritual.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I focus on the connection, not just moving muscle or providing release. The flow of energy and connection is what separates and distinguishes my massages.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been practicing unofficially for many years and my training has helped fine tune my skills. I am now ready to put more time and energy into the practice.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I often travel for both pleasure and business. I enjoy travel but also enjoy my time at home.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Training is always important but equally important is intuitive touch.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Revigorated and wanting to do another session!
