Tantric_Bliss's Massage Interview
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I’m really into fitness, music, photography and yoga.
Currently I’m training to do a Spartan Beast.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I started my journey by accident working on a yoga student. The student said my methods were similar to Thai Massage. So I looked that up and found out their was a Thai Massage workshop that weekend.
After that I absolute feel in love with the healing power of touch. I ended up in Collage for massage shortly after.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
If you decided to go the route of education. Make sure what ever school you go to the education is valid country wide.
For example I’m a 3000 hr RMT in Alberta. My school said I’d just have to do a exam in Ontario. Turns out the school lied.
Regardless at least take a workshop or ask another Masseur to teach you some techniques
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I hope they leave with the feeling of being relaxed, less tense and feeling more comfortable in their body.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
As long as I can. As all things change I’m sure the nature of the massage will as well. I just really enjoy making people feel their best
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
This is true and yes.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes. I’ve been at it since 2017 with over 3000 hrs of training. I’ve worked on 100s of people in various ways
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I believe training in a formal or informal way is needed. I considered everyone of my massage I give it even receive as an extension of my training. That’s why we get called practitioners
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
At peace, relaxed and better then when they came in.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I prefer working in a hybrid model utilizing massage, yoga, breathing and corrective exercises.
