ThaiMuscleMasso's Massage Interview
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I love my massage days with my clients because I am supporting their therapeutic needs as well as taking time to connect to this sacred service.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I would like you to completely relaxed, allowing your stress to be melted away with this an amazing massage with me.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Tennis, running, gym, outdoor activities, biking
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
7 years massaging and would like to indefinitely continue doing this amazing work.
Why did you become a Masseur?
For years, I actually did not like to be touched and would never go to have a massage until I had a thai massage in Montreal from this amazing massage therapist. I fell in love with the style of massage and started to take courses over 2 years.
I sometimes take the same courses again 2 to 3x because I love getting massaged and giving the wonderful benefits of this amazing massage technique.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I think it is. I have taken: 1) 4 levels of Thai massage, 2) Tui na massage techniques, 3) Aroma touch essential oils, 4) 100's hours on how our bodies recover from stress, 5) meridian & acupuncture trainings; 6) Numerous re-trainings in many of the above; 7) 100's hours with other massage therapists practicing our craft.
For me, I love a good massage and I can tell in 5 minutes that you have taken massage seriously and have been trained somewhere.
You cannot fake a good massage and your lack of training will come through each and every time.
Do everyone a favour and take those additional courses that will allow you to become a fantastic massage therapist.
