TheeSpecialTouch's Personal Masseur InterviewLast Updated: Mar 11, 2023
- It truly is. When you massaging you develop an interesting connection with a client. It can certainly become addictive. I enjoy the feeling of knowing I’m working on something beyond capitalistic things. I’m working for the betterment of a person. That’s what I enjoy the most and what I would miss if I ever stop doing this.
- Everyone would benefit from professional training, but it’s not necessary to be a good masseur.
- I’ve been a yogi for a decade now, and I have also been a behavioural therapist. I have enjoyed the benefits of massages for a while, and when my best friend became a licensed therapist it sounded enticing. He proceeded to take me under his wing and taught me to tricks of the trade. And I have loved doing it part time ever since.
- I remember my first ever client. It was a man who had just finished a triathlon and long and stressful case at work. He trusted to me to find relief both physically and mentally. I spent an hour massaging him while getting to know him a bit. I was a bit intimidated by how much he needed that massage, but I decided to just put my whole back into it and treat as I would any of my close friends. He ended up liking the massage. He claimed that soreness in his legs went down considerably after our session. We met a few other times and did get to know him more. He was a great man. He had to move across the country for work, but we keep in touch from time to time.
