Themente's Personal Masseur Interview

- I swim and bike everyday. Independent of where I am, one of my strong hobbies right now is to visit swimming pools at places I am visiting.

I am also a big reader, I am always reading a romance besides all the theories books I have to read due to grad school demands.

- Maybe because I am very curious, either to always be learning and also to always be very open to the connections I am having doing massages.

- I am a road person. Maybe a beatnik or a flaneur. I have been traveling in the USA since December last year. Did two big tours since then and it's being really amazing to be able to take my personal routine with me, while working as a masseur. So everything just fits perfectly.

Traveling opens my understanding, and always make me repurpose moments, places and people.

For the spring and summer though I wanna be in New York, I am already feeling the good energy around the city.

- It happens in a more professional way in my second trip to Europe. I had planned a two weeks trip starting in Portugal. I had an unfortunate event in Lisbon, that made me cut my travel plans and go visit a friend in Stockholm, a safe space for me in Sweden.

We were having wine one night, when he offered me a fantastic massage. After the massage we were talking about, how he could be helpful getting me a massage course, so that I could start working and keep my traveling in Europe.

I was a bit skeptical, but accepted the offer. In the first day of the course I was amazed. And really felt a good energy, and a big change of my mood.

By the end of it, I got my first client in Stockholm. The instant feedback made me feel comfortable to look after more clients.
Sometimes on buses, trains or flying, I ended up visiting after Sweden, Latvia, Germany, Czech Republic and Italy, spending a big time in Venice and Rome, having a very nice balance between work and leisure.

That's how all started.
