Tigerclaw's Personal Masseur Interview
Last Updated: May 03, 14:25

1
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?

- What is necessary:
Train hard and well
Learn new styles and forms
Study the body and how all the parts move independently of each other
Memorize the look and feel, and adjust accordingly to each new person you come across
Practice on others and have them practice on you
It takes years to properly learn it all, and even more to perfect your technique once you know it. Once you do, the hard work pays off.

2
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?

- Euphoric is probably the best word. I like to take you on a mental, emotional, and spiritual journey with my music and technique. When you are told to flip over or that we are done, you should feel as though you've woken up from a deep sleep. Never aggressive but always possessive...of your body and consciousness for the benefit of a holistic healing.

3
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?

- I consider myself successful in the ability to heal, be in tune with their body structure, and deliver a quality massage and experience they won't forget. I believe my reviews and comments I receive are validation that even without a License, hard working knowledge goes a long way.

I have many repeat clients and develop strong bonds with each of them over time. Maybe my most successful trait is my genuine desire to help people.

4
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?

- Learn the body well because the more you know about bones/muscle/tissues attachments, structure, and function, the better you can apply medical care during your sessions. A great way to do so is to workout regularly. While you build your own strength, notice how your own muscles move and are attached and use that to your advantage. Practice massaging yourself in different areas to get a feel of the body terrain and pressure points that help your progress. Always practice on friends and learn many styles and techniques. Learn what works best for your style and how to maximize your own potential.

5
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?

- You should know that I am very fluent in world cultures and love to meet people from all walks of life. From friends and family to colleagues, I have the ability to navigate cultural and ethnic differences with ease while being professional and charismatic. I believe every problem has a solution and working together while understanding one another is a key component to life.

6
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?

- I have missed my days as a masseur for the last 5 years. I'm very used to touch, healing, and personal connections so I would very much miss my days as a masseur. Getting back into the groove of things is great for me and helps me feel like I am contributing in a positive way to the world. I would miss my use of medical knowledge application in my life and the great people I meet along the way.

7
Why did you become a Masseur?

- I have always had healing hands since I was little and gave my friends and family massages. It's thrilling and fulfilling to me to reset the energy for someone and heal them in a way modern medicine cannot. Simple human touch is vital in many ways and connecting with another person physically on that level is both rewarding and bonding. I use my energy to manipulate and correct yours, while keeping myself grounded, to make sure we both come out better balanced after the session. It's a great way for me to relieve my own stress in a controlled manner through direct energy projection.

8
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?

- I have a photographic memory and once I've passed my hands over your body, I'm able to see and remember your body shapes and contours to maximize muscle and tissue stimulation in the appropriate areas. I take my knowledge of the human anatomy and apply it into every stroke, press, and squeeze; while taking your unique body into account and adjusting my technique. Some of my massage is done with my eyes closed as I focus on the internal stress areas I need to release. I give reflexology for the hands and feet in every session to promote healing and I apply acupressure to necessary chakra points to promote energy flow.

9
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?

- I want everyone to feel as if they received a great quality massage that has healed their body and relaxed their mind and spirit. A calm, yet energized awareness should abound. You are putting your body in my hands and I want to treat it as gently and therapeutically as possible. I want you to feel as if you can come to me any time and know that your needs will be met. As long as we both leave with a smile, I know I have done my job to the best of my ability.
