Touchbydesign's Massage Interview
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I would most definitely miss it. I'm feeling like I'm experiencing withdrawal now with the covid19 pandemic. I hope to get back to work soon because I truly love what I do.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I would like them to feel like they don't want to leave. Or that they are so comfortable and relaxed that they can't fathom getting up to get dressed .
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I don't know that this will distinguish me from other masseurs but here goes. My technique is not so much about deep tissues manouvers, rubbing knots away, or bending someone into a pretzel but more about making them feel the comfort that I hope everyone gets to experience when you are engulfed in a mans arms. The compression, the compassion, the heat, the depth of a connection that goes beyond me rubbing your sore body parts. I want you to feel like I've got your back, your front and your sides. You're safe when you are in my arms and under me. Feel my breath on the back of your neck and feel my heart pounding on your back. YOU ARE ALIVE and every mm of your skin knows it. Now just close your eyes and let me take you away for a little while.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I've been doing massage professionally for just over 2 years but have practiced in my daily life for all of my life. Every day that you learn something new is a day worth living.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
I would have to say please do not get into this for a quick buck. You need to feel it in your heart the healing someone on some small level or in a grand scheme is priceless and the money is the token of their appreciation for that healing. Do it because you love it.
