TouchedbyGrace's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
It was the day I realized I could combine several different passions of mine into work that I love; taking care of others, creativity/art, movement and sensuality. I really love what I do and I am so grateful that what I do can have each client leave my table peacefully dazed with a smile. Best experience ever!
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes! And the best part is I’m only getting better. Excited for the future!
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I have an insane amount of nurturing & sensual energy I need to put out there so if you’re on my table you’re probably going to feel adored.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Happy, dazed, cared for, peaceful, relaxed, free, energized and mesmerized.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Yoga, tree climbing, practicing music, reading books on body work, philosophy, neuroscience, biking, canoeing, beach, family, traveling and exploring the world
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
If you don’t love touching people you’re in the wrong business!
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
My touch is always full of intention, passion and vitality. And I keep finding new and fun ways to do the work I like to do and have been told several times that my work is “like an incredible smooth dance”.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I’ve been practicing massage for 2 years and would like to continue for 5+ years before I run my wellness centers
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
50/50. If I can afford it I’ll be traveling! I also love being at home. I like the balance.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
No! But it certainly helps and keeps the career healthy, vibrant and constantly evolving
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Truly mesmerized, in love with themselves and without a care in the world
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I mean it can certainly be addicting to do something you love and is natural for you. Would definitely miss doing this work if I’d stop for any reason.
Why did you become a Masseur?
It’s just an exciting and deeply satisfying experience for me. Touch, passion, sensuality, love, nurturance, healing, connection… all things I love to bring to my work and to the world
