UniqueFourHands's Personal Masseur InterviewLast Updated: Apr 16, 2023
- We consider ourselves successful masseurs because our main intention is for the person to leave completely renewed, feeling relieved, feeling lighter, with their mind having blown during the session, leaving with a smile, and feeling completely comfortable and feeling as at home. People have always commented on how incredible the experience we created for them was, and they always leave happy and relaxed.
- Meditation, yoga, gym, traveling, meeting with friends and sharing moments are essential parts of our day-to-day lives.
- We travel a lot, at least once a month. Traveling gives us knowledge and opens up other paths and viewpoints that are very necessary for day-to-day life. Traveling is one of the best things we have in our lives.
- We have been masseurs for almost 10 years, and we think we will be masseurs for the rest of our lives, regardless of whether we can do other things on the side or whether we can do more or fewer massages in a week or a month. Once we have created this aura of massages, this energy balance, we never want to let go of it. We need these vibes to keep us happy.
- Our main intention is for the person to leave completely renewed, feeling relieved, feeling lighter, with their mind having blown during the session, leaving with a smile, and feeling completely comfortable and feeling as at home. People have always commented on how incredible the experience we created for them was, and they always leave happy and relaxed. That means everything to us.
- When it comes to massages, it's not just about releasing a knot in the body or relieving a certain muscle. It's much more than that. It's about calming the mind, creating empathy with another person whom you often know nothing about, exchanging energy with strangers during the session.
London can be a difficult city with a lot of anonymity, and people often feel lonely among millions of others. Many times, we notice that the people who come to us haven't been touched by another person in weeks, needing that human contact. The simple moment when we put our hands on their body, triggers a wave of emotions, sensations, feelings, hormones, and energy that run throughout their body and radiate throughout the room. The more the session progresses, the stronger that energy becomes, the more connection is made between the client and the masseur, and the more that exchange is solidified.
All of that is addictive, helping other people is addictive, balancing someone else's energy on the right side is addictive.
So, the answer is obviously YES, being a masseur is addictive!!!
- My partner and I came to this country in search of better financial opportunities. At first, we took on whatever jobs were offered to us, which were typically not customer-facing roles as we needed to learn the language. Once we became fluent in English and realized that we had massage qualifications, we decided to start our own massage business and specialize in four-handed massage, as it is something unique and provides an incredible experience.
I remember our first client was someone we knew from the neighborhood where we lived. We offered him a massage to try out and asked him to simply give us the tips that he felt was fair, he gave us £60, which we thought was incredible. He mentioned that we could charge that amount and even more. Nevertheless, we started by charging only £30 pounds for a 60-minute four-handed massage. This was almost 10 years ago.
