Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
Before I became a Massage Therapist a good friend had given me a Massage Gift Certificate from his Massage Therapist. for the next year or so I was getting massages twice a month. Got to know the therapist really well and he talked me into going to Massage Therapy School.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Oh Yes. I am a people person. I love meeting and interacting with different people every day.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes, I do. It allows me travel and do Massage Therapy in other cities.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want my clients to feel relaxed and thinking of when they will schedule with me again.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
Along with being a Massage Therapist, I am also an avid Abstract Artist. I love creating original abstract art.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I became a Massage Therapist after being a Massage client for a few years. I love the feeling after getting a good massage and wanted others to feel that as well. I soon went to Massage Therapy School in Dallas and started my Massage career.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I enjoying playing tennis and softball. I also love painting abstract Art works and working in my yard.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been doing Massage for 17 years. I would love to continue offering Massage Therapy to my clients for another 10 years.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I do believe that some kind of training is necessary to be a successful Massage Therapist. I good knowledge of the human body and massage fundamentals goes a long way. Many of my techniques I have acquired I may have tweaked from the original technique to make them better in my workflow. I continue learning new techniques and perfecting them.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I love it when my clients get up from my massage table and say "I feel Awesome, and I cant wait to see you again." I want my clients to feel rejuvenated and feeling great at the end of my session.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I travel alot for work. I only do Massage Therapy part time now as I work another full time job as well. I do try and get new clients in the cities that I am traveling to. I travel 2-3 time per month on average.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Massage Therapy requires dedication to keep learning and perfecting your craft. Every massage client is different. Your konwledge and training will take you a long way, but the extra work in perfecting your massage techniques and listening to your clients need and wants is extremely important.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I deeply CARE about my clients needs and wants. I want to make sure they get the massage that they are wanting or I want to exceed their expectaitons. I strive to give them a better massage than they are expecting. I want them to be WOW'd. I get to know them as much as I can, to better understand why they chose me and what they are needing.
