erikvickers's Personal Masseur InterviewLast Updated: May 10, 2019
- I would say take your time and learn your craft. And then try all different avenues one of the good things about massage is you can do it in many different guises and locations. Find the one that’s right for you.
- I like my clients to feel that they have had a comfortable and relaxing experience and that they can leave feeling energized and good about themselves.
- I’ve been a Masseur now for 19 years and will continue for as long as it feels right.
- I believe that Massage is a very subjective thing. So it’s not that I necessarily look to distinguish myself from others I just believe that the right clients come at the right time. I never apply pressure on my clients to return to see me as I believe that if that is something they like they will be back and if not that’s OK too.
- I really fell into massage while living in Europe. It is something that has grown with me over the years in different ways. About five years ago I began working for myself and defining my own techniques and really have never looked back after that.
- I believe that the main reason I’m here is to help others and that has always been my main priority. I think in whatever way we find that we should do the absolute best we can with in whatever field that might be. This happens to be the field that I feel called too.
- Yes but it has taken time for me to learn how to be successful and I believe that we all have our own definition of what that is. I like to focus my energy on only a few clients a day to make sure that I give the best possible experience and also to prevent burnout which I have experienced a few times over the years. Also I base my success on the number of repeat clients that I have which I know to be quite high as I like to establish a good relationship with them.
