AJDaltonMasseur's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
Yes I do remember my first client. I was living in Oklahoma and he was visiting from San Antonio, TX. I had been considering this profession for a while after college. My first experience was so fun that I decided this was something I wanted to pursue.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Yes I would definitely miss giving massages. I lived in CA for years working long hours as a bartender and waiter and found it very unfulfilling. I moved back to Oklahoma for a year about 5 few years ago and started giving massages, while also working at a sushi restaurant. After my first client I was hooked and knew I made the right decision. Saved up some money and headed back to CA and have been doing massages ever since. And I no longer work in restaurants!
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes I consider myself successful. I make good money. Meet amazing guys. And love what I do. To me that is success!
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I'm originally from Oklahoma and graduated from OU with a bachelors in Film Studies. I use to love going out to bars with friends, but I've traded that lifestyle for the gym! When they closed all the gyms last year that was really hard on me, but instead of whining about it I made it my mission to build my own small gym. If you decide to hire me as your masseur you will get to see it. Also love to hike! Love the beach, but don't go as often as I use to. Whenever I get a client by the beach it gives me an excuse to hit the sand after my massage session and enjoy our amazing beaches.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want them to feel relaxed, pleasured, and like they had an amazingly fun time. I get alot of job satisfaction from knowing I satisfied my client.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
My hobbies are hiking and the gym. I also have two fish tanks that I take care of. A male red betta fish named Davie and in my other tank I have a white platinum guppy whose name is White Josh (a character from a tv show) and three neon tetras whose names are just minions. I also love to travel and try out different restaurants. Love food, which is probably why I'm obsessed with the gym and hiking. lol
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I've been told by clients they like that I'm from the South Oklahoma. Guess that wholesome Southern charm / guy next door thing... I'm very personable and friendly. Respect boundaries and discretion.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I've been a masseur for a little over 5 years and I plan to continue doing this as long as guys keep hiring me.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I use to travel alot more when I had a roommate. I wasn't able to host at my home so my traveling was a work opportunity as well as a chance to have fun. Now that I have my own place and can host massage sessions I keep pretty busy and don't have time to travel as much as I use to. I do enjoy my time at home, but also like seeing different places. My favorite trip I've ever taken was to Hawaii a couple of years ago. It was my first time and I got a really great deal. Plus I booked some clients while I was there which paid for the trip plus some. Snorkeling in Hanauma Bay was so breathtaking as these fish of all sizes swim right up to you!! I've also had alot of fun traveling to San Diego and Palm Springs. I did the Grand Canyon last year. Hiked all way down to the Indian Garden and back up in a day. I wasn't able to make it down to the river though cause I didn't start my hike till noon. The next place to visit on my bucket list would be Utah though. Would love to hit some of those hiking trails.
