AUSSIE's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
Yes...I remember. He was a psychiatrist. He was very stressed out and spent on his job. He was about to quit and pursue other things. He was filled with anxiety because he had done it for so long and needed something else. I massaged him for about 6 months to assist with the stress. Then he quit, and moved to California and started his new life. I often wonder what happened to him.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Relaxed and good of course.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Bike, martial arts, write and cook.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I really like animals. Wild or domestic.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Centered, relaxed and thoroughly satisfied.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Training is good, because you learn anatomy and physiology, but you really have to have an intuitive touch when it comes to a person's body. That has come to naturally. There are a lot of clinical, text book good masseurs, masseuses and bodyworkers, but some lack a certain finesse. It's like getting massaged by a robot. Being personable is a must. If you do not get on with people then perhaps this isn't for you. I like people a lot.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Success is different for everyone and subjective. I can definitely say I have assisted a lot of people in feeling really good. So I guess I am successful.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I'm very easy to get on with and I really like people. I also have a lot of energy lol.
