AlexBarcelonaXL's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client was amazing. A very intelligent man who was very knowledgeable about tantra and loves massage. It was a wonderful experience and my hands were glowing for an hour afterwards. I saw him many times after that in London and we are still friends now that I live here in Barelona.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I had a break for a year during which time I worked as a chef and yes although I loved the creativity of cooking I did miss working as a masseur and enjoying all that lovely energy.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I consider myself to be an honest, passionate and professional masseur. I do my very best to create the best experiences I can for my clients and I try to take care of them and make sure their experience with me is unique. I don't just define success in terms of how much money I have in my bank account each month.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I'm a very sensitive guy. I can really feel other peoples emotional energy and I always try to imagine myself on the massage table and how I would like to be touched. I think this particular aspect of me really helps in my massage. Also I'm very very sensual which I think clients really love. ;)
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Amazing! Glowing! Wanting more..
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I have been learning Spanish for many years and I can now speak quite well. My next language will be French as I live in Barcelona and I think it's an important language to speak. I love art and design and I also love singing having studied music for many years. And of course... I love ***. ;)
Why did you become a Masseur?
I worked as an 'companion' shall we say for many years and then as life model. I loved learning about anatomy and was fortunate enough to work for some of London's best art schools where I learnt a lot. My friends were masseurs, one of whom was practicing tantra and I found it fascinating so I decided to learn. I wanted to combine my two loves of art and *** I guess! I'm very happy I did so as it's been an amazing experience.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Look after people. Be professional. Be punctual. Above all put yourself in their shoes! This is the most important thing. And also do some life drawing as this is a great way to study and learn about the body.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I feel that working as a life model really helped me to appreciate the beauty and complexity of the human body.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have worked as a masseur for just over five years and I hope to continue doing so and learning about massage and Reiki(which is something I am very interested in) for many years to come.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
Well I moved to Spain three years ago which was an adventure in and of itself. I now live in Barcelona which has always been my dream city ever since I can here when I was 17 years old and fell in love. I very much want to travel around Spain in the future and get to know this country better and in the process improve my knowledge of Spanish.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
It depends on the kind of massage you wish to perform. For my style of massage which is more of the sensual/erotic kind my training came working as a 'companion' for many years. I learned about people and how to look after them and understand exactly what they want and need. I learned about touch and empathy which are the most important things for me. Techniques are very important but this comes with experience. I have massaged well over 500 men now and each time I learn something new. It's an on going process of discovery.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I would love for them to feel energized, to feel glowing, to feel like they have really been looked after and pampered. And of course I would love for them to be left wanting more! I was very fortunate to have many regular clients in London and it's great to see the same guys again and again as I get to know their bodies intimately.
