AudanV's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I’ve always wanted to help others in any way I can.
For myself, I’m best skilled at relieving the stresses of your life. How does one do this you may ask - by creating an environment where you melt away into deep relaxation where all your senses are satisfied accordingly.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Definitely would miss it. I really like that all my clients are in a zen type state when our session is finished - makes me smile knowing I’ve done a sufficient job.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I’m new, but so far so great!
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
Competitive bodybuilder in the Physique category- placed 3rd overall. Pleased but room for improvement where eventually I’ll step on stage again.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Euphoric
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Gym (of course)
I like all kinds of outdoor activities including mountain biking, skiiing, snowmobiling, atv off-roading (we call it ‘muddying’ where I’m from).
I’ve always been interested in cars - rebuilds and restorations is what I’m most interested in. Who cares about automated driving when you can hear the roaring or an ever-rare V12.
I also try to be as social as possible with friends, doing things indoors and outdoors as well.
I’m also great at playing Crazy8s - always a laugh with me.
Why did you become a Masseur?
A change from the corporate world I used to be a part of and something that I enjoy doing….it’s a win/win.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
If it’s your passion - go for it 💯
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I take a unique stance on this topic.
I never want to create an environment of toxicity and competition. In fact, I am open to collaborating with those masseurs that share the same mindset as myself. If the client requests a 4 hand massage I will carefully put much thought into the selection of a second masseur.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I’ve been doing this informally for over 5 years. This is the first time I’ve been officially offering my services on this site. I want to continue this line of work for as long as it makes both myself and my clients happy. The moment it does not bring me joy anymore is when I’ll stop (not anytime soon 😏)
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I try to travel as much as possible - I love to explore new places and try new experiences.
However, a nice afternoon in my condo eating a meal I’ve prepared and watching the latest YouTube vid of a vehicle channel I like is the ideal day at home for me.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Most accurate answer - ‘It depends’
All about the vibe of the relationship created with the client and understanding their needs - once a solid foundation of trust and communication is established the possibility of success is endless.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Of course I want all my clients to feel the same - happy, de-stressed with any knots they had worked out, and a relationship created where they will return… each time I would get to know their body and specific needs more and more.
