Axil's Massage Interview
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Yes, massage is a very intimate experience for me. It's one I take very serious and incredibly passionately. I know the human form. I know what your body needs and it makes me feel good when I can provide that, as I’ve always had a sense of deep wonderment into the human physique at a young age. So much so it has influenced many of my life’s decisions leading me into this position I am today!
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
They need to feel as if
1: They received their monies worth
And
2: That all their problem areas were addressed and they have a better understanding of their kinesiology
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I provide a level of service that treats my clients to a top quality massage, while still tailoring it to their needs. I'm very flexible in my desire to ultimately give you the best massage of your life
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I dont believe so. Ever since I was young I've always had a passion for the human form. I can see your alignment. Tell what needs tweaking in order to correct your ailments all without touching you. Your body gives off incredible amounts of signs pointing right to your problem areas. Next step is just to follow along the path with corrective moves to get you to a better you.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I have been doing massage, physical training, and dietitian work for a long time and have been wildly successful with what I do. It comes naturally to me, as does person to person interactions so I make people feel at ease, as well as do them a quality service.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I was nervous as hell! Haha it truly wasn’t what I was used to... I had been working in spas forever, but this?! Haha it’s so personal. One on one.. so exposed. My first client was kind of a crap shoot. I was over easy to please in the worst ways and I allowed him to cross what were my lines at the time. It scared me a bit. But then something clicked after. It has allowed me to open up to my ***ual inner titan and has blown whatever I thought before out of the water.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
That I am above all else, professional. It’s easy to look at us as a group and just assume we’re “hoodlums, scam artists, liars”. But there are ppl like myself who truly believe in our work. Not just a tool for amusement, but a healer. You may think to yourself... a healer? Right.... but is the soul not intrinsically intertwined with your ***ual being? I think the masses isn’t touched enough to feel loved... we provide even for an hour, that sensation of warmth and comfort.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I’m an enthusiast about many things haha I def love going to the gym, playing with my pooch, and generally doing anything active related
Why did you become a Masseur?
I sort of fell into this gig. One thing led to another and one certification and countless hours perfecting my unique skills and techniques... and here I am today :)
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Don’t expect what you think you should expect out of it. The things you think it is, aren’t. But the things you think it isn’t, are in bounty :)
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I’ve been a masseur for a few years now. I’ll continue long into my older years so long as I’m requested. I get a sense of accomplishment and gratitude for being able to heal my corner of the world
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I’m more of a homebody, but I’ve been known to travel time to time!
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want them to be talking about it for days with their friends. If that’s not an option then I want to not just be remembered for my body, but also a general sense of well being and glow that lasts for a few weeks until you see me again :)
