BLKGuyNextDoor's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I remember my first client, middle aged fit guy. Very kind and easy on the eyes. We had to coordinate our timing perfectly, so that he wouldn’t be waiting outside my apartment complex. His issue was he couldn’t take his cellphone with him lol he eventually told me girl friend tracks his whereabouts lol. In my head, I said what in the hell lol. He was very cool and relaxed, and enjoyed his massage so much he left me a pretty nice tip. Can I getta Chi-Ching.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Aww man the money is great I must admit, but besides being heavily in love with the male anatomy and physique. I most enjoy my clients and the experience I offer to each of them. It’s really great being able to build an clientele and being blessed enough to have a few repeat clients. I also love how well traveled and career experienced my clients are.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
While I would like to have more reviews from my clients. I do not push them to leave reviews. I value everyone’s privacy and know I am hired to take my clients away from their realities. So if I’m able to make them feel at-ease and secure while in my presence; then I would consider myself successful. I am very blessed to have landed a few clients who values the product I offer and that has transitioned into consistent repeat client relationships Of course with the deepest of confidentiality!
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I have over 13 year of high-end Customer Service Management experience. This isn’t a space to offer subpar service. Just note I’m always looking for ways and investing in my client experience. As a client you would be your most vulnerable during our experience and I cherish and appreciate your business and I hope my final product speaks volumes of how important customer experience means to me using this platform.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
It is my greatest desire for each of my clients to feel relieved in more ways than one haha, but ultimately happy with their overall product and experience. Ever left a place where you spent your hard earned dollars and felt like it was the biggest waste of your time and money? Well that’s not the experience you’ll have with this guy.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I’m an hospitality enthusiast at heart so much research done in spare time. Love watching Tennis, and hockey. Love anything having to deal with food. Working out and maintaining my body has become one of my favorites and it’s also my get away from my reality. I love catching up with family and friends as most of them are located outside of my current state and city. A good hike also allows me to escape the realities of life. Lastly, I love adding new music to my many playlists and have been told I have a worldly cultural playlist. You’ll find I’m pretty much an open book and I love to discover people just as I want people to discover me. So feel free to ask more questions should we ever meet.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I’ve been doing massages for years and beside the mere fact that this stimulates and relaxes me. This part-time gig allows me to pay off more of my student loans each month. So thank you to your contribution to my further advancement even in my full-time life lol 🙏🏽
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Focus on how to create the best client experience consistently no matter if the client is new or repeat. Let your product promote loyalty and individuality to respect each client in their own way. Save your clients nickname in your phone. They may inquire and follow up months and weeks later and it’s always great when we are greeted by name and this builds trust and security in the service we offer. Lastly always seek out opportunities to learn more formal massage industry techniques to apply when servicing your clients. Nothing worse than coming for a massage and still feeling like shit at the end lol 😂
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I can’t imagine we’ll ever really know the true answer to this question. But I can damn well guarantee you’ll have a great experience whether I’m hosting you at my place, or the comforts of your own home. Customer experience means a lot and my name is written all over your experience and for that its imperative that I maintain the highest of consistent standards and while seeking out ways to improve the services and overall product; Ofcourse with you on mind 🙂🙏🏽💆♂️
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been a Masseur since October 2020, and am enjoying the experience thus far. So at the moment I have no plans of stopping any time soon.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I usually travel more often but because of the pandemic that has been placed on hold. But I am passport ready and ready for more stamps in my book. Whenever traveling whether Domestic or International. I will be sure to update my travel locations on my profile! 🏛🕌⛩🌃🌉🌄
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Yes like anything in life, you must continue to work at something to improve the quality of our massage techniques and overall customer experience. We also must seek out areas of opportunity to take our customers away from their reality and assist in their overall good health and quality of life.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want each of my clients to feel revitalized and brand new and to feel like they made a good choice selecting me to service their needs and desires.
