Bjorne_Oslo's Massage Interview
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Absolutely for certain I would.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
For sure, especially when it comes to being a properly trained real masseuse.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I’m a surfer, lifter, hiker, body caretaker trying to live a long and happy life and keep out of the 9-5 circus most work in.
Why did you become a Masseur?
Will being trained, and then becoming suddenly single I had a lot of time on my hands, so I thought I’d find a way to occupy my time and my hands!
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Personally, I hope they do contact m they do do directly on my cell and not here on this website. When they leave, I want he or she to be happy and satisfied, of course.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Well I’d say anything that doesn’t involve television or sitting on my ass.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Get certified and train globally.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
Perhaps my life experiences. And the fact that I’m actually a trained masseuse & maintain an actual studio for massage.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
20 plus years / was a personal trainer for years.,,
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I’m in a constant state of travel.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Hands on experience beats training but you need to get certified for sure in some form of massage to have a base to work from. The art of massage is a gift / the science comes from training. Let’s admit that none of us actually do what we learned in any formal training but there are some universal norms that should be followed by all.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Satisfied fully
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client with a good friend
and vice versa in massage therapy school
